Well, depressing but entirely predictable news from the Supreme Court this week.
So predictable, I was able to use my uncanny mental powers to predict Justice Alito’s opinion that leaked this week, 12 years ago, when he was undergoing the confirmation process and insisting that despite his past writings opposing abortion, he “respected” Roe v. Wade. From 2005:
Things are getting worse and worse, friends.

Speaking of conservatives cruelly shoving their antiquated pseudo-religion down the throats of the most vulnerable Americans, this week’s comic is:

Well, all this horrific news aside, I had an eventful week. I went down to DC for the National Press Foundation’s Awards Dinner on Wednesday, and accepted the 2022 Berryman Award for Editorial Cartooning.
Here I am delivering my speech. Among my fellow award recipients on the dais were New York Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet and CBS News anchor Norah O’Donnell. You can barely make out on the screen at that moment my comic, The MAGA Matrix.
I offered the following apology on Twitter yesterday:
Much more will be in the Inner Hive mailing next week, where I will really spill the tea.
(It really was weird eating dinner on a stage, facing out at about 500 people.)

Two new Tom the Dancing Bug books are here! The offer below (New Book Package) will only last a few more weeks.
TOM THE DANCING BUG AWAKENS, VOLUME 6 IN THE COMPLETE TOM THE DANCING BUG -- 2012-2015. This volume covers the Obama years and the rise of Trump, and it includes the introduction of the feature Chagrin Falls and installments of many other Tom the Dancing Bug favorites, such as God-Man, Lucky Ducky, and Super-Fun-Pak Comix. It also includes other comics Ruben Bolling created during those years: a two-page New Yorker spread, and six daily installments of the comic strip Cul de Sac.
TOM THE DANCING BUG, WITHOUT THE BAD ONES: THE VERY, VERY, VERY* BEST OF TOM THE DANCING BUG, 1990-2021. 31 years in the making, this book collects the top, most popular, most talked-about, most important, most Tom-the-Dancing-Bug comics in Tom the Dancing Bug's history. Imagine the thrill of reading and owning the award-winning and award-losing comic strip Tom the Dancing Bug, distilled into one handsome tome containing only its scientifically determined very, very, VERY* best.
Ordering info here.
Order directly from me (with the “2021 New Book Package,” here’s the link again), and you’ll also get this exclusive pdf booklet with “Artist’s” materials, and these authenticated bookmarks. And I’ll sketch in the books and sign them, to you personally if you like.
